WTF is ARIELIST?
Hey there. I’m Ariel Meadow Stallings, an author, publisher, and dancer from Seattle. After 20 years of giving my content away on the internet, this newsletter is my way to find an intimate, sustainable relationship with the readers who care about my work.
I hope you’ll join me.
I’ll be writing weekly with my thoughts on everything from the future of the publishing industry to the edges of self-development to personal insights to devotional dance videos.
I see this as a delicious experiment, and it’ll probably be a bit messy. After years of overly-engineered content strategy driven to maximize advertising revenue, I am SO FREAKING EXCITED to focus on a non-ad-supported platform. Let’s get messy AF!
Free vs paid subscriptions
You can follow for free to get a monthly post, but just know that the most interesting stuff will be for paid subscribers only. By “interesting,” I mean the squishy vulnerable personal stuff, the dishy behind-the-scenes industry stuff, the NSFW self-dev, maybe chapters from my erotic novellete, and who knows what else.
Also, paying subscribers have the option to be added to my “close friends” list on Instagram. I use Insta Stories to share videos of my daily devotional dance practice, which I jokingly call lapdances for god.
The universe in conversation with itself through us
My biggest motivation with all my work (both personal development work and professional creative work) is the conversations I have with others who are also deep in it with their own work.
Paying subscribers can comment on all posts, and I hope you will feel empowered to click through and speak up! I’m always excited to hear about reading recommendations, your own personal insights, questions you might have, or concerns about something I’ve shared. I love the way the universe talks with itself through the conversations we have together. I can’t wait to get to know you.
